an interior fine art studio based in london founded by classically trained fine artist zarefa azezi.

simultaneously evanescent and unyielding the conceptual nature of zarefa’s works plays with the contrast between the light and shadow sides of the natural world, classic and contemporary cultures enveloped within. a practice seeking comfort that allows the mind to wander, zarefa is dedicated to creating purposeful artworks that provokes deeply personal feelings in the observer whilst igniting memories buried deep within. each piece follows it’s own narrative allowing its name to guide you into the painting. through her use of luminous tonal colours, soft washes, signature strokes and expressive mark making with willow charcoal, zarefa provides incomparable versatility in her abstract compositions.

as part of her evolving practice zarefa has created her ‘sustainable collection’ – a range of artworks with the aim of creating entry level paintings by repurposing meticulously sourced stretcher frames, that are hand-picked for their outstanding quality and carefully restored, resulting in truly unique, sustainable works of art with a lighter global footprint.

zarefa has engaged in a multitude of projects ranging from one-of-a-kind private commissions, working with interior designers, private landlords and hotel managers to furnish commercial properties. her artwork placement spans over the uk and portugal, belgium, US & dubai.

london based with a background in fine art with a detour in law studies zarefa has always had a passion for creating and was drawn back to her love of painting. she wishes for her artistic adventure to grow and to place herself within the arabian peninsula where she will progress and create more beautiful works.
